Crispy Sugar Tortillas
These make an easy dessert; add some cajeta or dulce de leche, and the Crispy Sugar Tortillas just became heavenly!

Ingredients
- 2 Cups All-purpose flour
- 1/2 Cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/3 Cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/3 Cup butter-flavored shortening or margarine
- 1/2 Cup hot water
Instructions
- Mix all dry ingredients
- Add shortening or butter and cut into mixture until crumbly
- Make a well in the center and add water
- Mix until a soft-ball forms
- Knead well
- Divide dough into 30 small balls
- Let stand 15 minutes
- Roll each ball into a flat circle and cook on hot griddle, turning once or twice.
